As we reflect on 2024, we are proud to share the significant milestones and achievements that have marked this year as one of growth, innovation, and support. Here is a look at what we have accomplished together:
Regional Student Growth
This year, we saw a remarkable 32% increase in apprentice numbers across regional Queensland. This growth underscores our commitment to nurturing local talent and providing valuable opportunities for aspiring tradespeople.
To make practical training more accessible to regional students, we purchased two mobile training units. These units allow us to bring tools and equipment to deliver practical training more often to apprentices in regional areas, ensuring that distance is no barrier to quality education.
Expansion of Apprentice Training into NSW
We successfully secured funding from the NSW Government to deliver our apprentice training in carpentry and wall and ceiling lining courses and prevocational training. This funding enables us to expand our reach and offer quality training in a high demand market.
We supported this funding by investing in a new training centre in Penrith, New South Wales. This purpose-built facility provides quality small group practical training, theory learning and support to apprentices and prevocational students in Western Sydney.
Employment of Local Apprentice Trainers
This year we expanded our workforce and employed quality local apprentice trainers in Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, and Penrith. Their expertise and dedication are crucial in delivering high-quality training and mentorship to apprentices in these regions.
Introduction to Prevocational Training
We delivered our first Certificate I in Construction Training to local school students and job seekers in the Redlands. This program is a steppingstone for young people and job seekers looking to enter the construction industry.
In New South Wales, we delivered prevocational training under the Targeted Priorities Prevocational and Part Qualification (TPPPQ) program to local school students and job seekers. This initiative helps participants gain the skills and confidence needed to pursue careers in various trades.
Student Wellbeing Support
We continued our valuable relationship with Harness Support Services and Mates in Construction to support our student’s wellbeing. Harness Support Services delivered 13 toolbox talks from our Capalaba Training Centre, providing students with valuable tools to manage stress, to stay balanced, and enjoy healthy relationships.
Mates in Construction delivered their Apprentice Resilience Program to 24 Inscope apprentice students. This program helps build resilience and supports mental health among apprentices in the construction industry.
Supporting Women in Trades
We hosted our first female training day where female apprentice students completed in-house training under the guidance of our award-winning female trainer, Kip. This event included sharing experiences with female tradies and meeting with female support agencies, fostering a supportive and empowering environment for women in trades.
10 Years in Business
May marked our 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, we have grown from a small online short course training provider to a leading trade qualification training provider, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff and the support of our students and clients.
As we look forward to 2025, we remain committed to our mission of providing exceptional training and support to our apprentices, clients, and students. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year. Here’s to another year of growth and success!
