How we deliver our apprentice training

Benefit from our customised and accessible approach to training your apprentice.

  • Flexible training options – we blend online theory with face-to-face practical training onsite, at our purpose-built training centres or on location with our mobile training unit, so your apprentice is working on your site when you need them, and training with us when and where it suits you.
  • Regional training – we have a dedicated regional trainer who regular contacts apprentices via phone and video calls to monitor training progress and delivers practical block training either onsite or on location with our mobile training unit.
  • Trainers with industry experience – our trainers have run their own successful trade businesses and are ready to pass on their industry skills and knowledge to your apprentice.
  • Employer portal – our accessible online portal lets you track your apprentice training and progress in real time. Access it anywhere, anytime.
  • Dedicated support – we’re on hand when you need us to help with any challenges or issues you or your apprentice is facing. We’ll keep your apprentice training on track.

How to employ an apprentice

Are you considering employing an apprentice? Or want to move your apprentice training to Inscope?

Here’s how we make it easy for you to switch or sign up your apprentice to train with us:

Find and Employ an Apprentice

Whether you've already found a candidate or need help finding one, we can support you in recruiting an apprentice suited to your business. Candidates may include school-based apprentices, recent Certificate II in Construction Pathways graduates, school leavers, or mature-aged entrants to the trades.

Many employers start with a paid trial before offering part-time or full-time employment. For information about employing apprentices, visit the Fair Work Ombudsman website.

Complete Your Apprenticeship Training Contract

To get started, you and your apprentice will work with an Apprentice Connect Australia Provider (ACAP) to establish a training contract. As part of the process, nominate Inscope Training as your Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO). If you're transferring an existing apprentice to Inscope, your ACAP can help update the training contract and arrange the change of SRTO. Need assistance? Contact our team on 1300 579 808.

Developing your future workforce

Your apprentice builds practical skills and real-world experience on the job while contributing to your business from day one. We work alongside you to deliver flexible training, assessments and ongoing support, ensuring your apprentice stays on track to achieve their trade qualification.

What does it cost to train an apprentice?

Because an apprentice is your paid employee, you’ll pay them a wage. You can find out more about apprentice wages and entitlements from the Fair Work Ombudsman.

Training Costs

Inscope Training delivers apprenticeship training through subsided funding from the Queensland and New South Wales state governments. The state governments provide a public funding contribution towards the cost of training and assessment services for eligible apprentices. This is paid directly to us as per the arrangements set by your relevant state government.

For Queensland funded apprentices, in some cases, you or your employee may still need to pay a small co-contribution (gap) fee. This fee is set by the state government and must be paid to us prior to commencing a unit. Inscope Training does not charge fees other than the co-contribution fee (if applicable).

Choose your preferred qualification to find out more about the funding eligibility and co-contribution fees (Queensland only) that may need to be paid:

*Under some contracts and awards, apprentices may be eligible for their employer to pay or reimburse the contribution fee. Check your apprentice's award or employment contract to find out if they are eligible.
