We make training your apprentice easy
Hiring an apprentice is a great way to pass on your expert knowledge while boosting your business with skilled staff. When you partner with Inscope Training, you’ll gain an asset for your business with the support of an experienced team delivering flexible training.
Our trade qualification courses
We can work with you to train your apprentice in the following trade qualifications:
How we deliver our apprentice training
Benefit from our customised and accessible approach to training your apprentice.
- Flexible training options – we blend online with onsite or at our purpose-built training centre, so your apprentice is working on your site when you need them, and training with us when and where it suits you.
- Trainers with industry experience – our trainers have run their own successful trade businesses and are ready to pass on their industry skills and knowledge to your apprentice.
- Employer portal – our accessible online portal lets you track your apprentice training and progress in real time. Access it anywhere, anytime.
- Dedicated training team – we’re on hand when you need us to help with any challenges or issues you or your apprentice is facing. We’ll keep your apprentice training on track.
- Regional training – we have a dedicated regional trainer who regular contacts apprentices via phone and video calls and delivers practical block training at least twice a year either onsite or at a central facility.

How to employ an apprentice
Are you considering employing an apprentice? Or want to move your apprentice training to Inscope?
Here’s how we make it easy for you to switch or sign up your apprentice to train with us:
Find an apprentice
You may be approached directly, or you can enquire through us to find an apprentice. We have a network of contacts and can sometimes match a suitable candidate to your needs. Your apprentice might be school-based, a recent high-school graduate, or a mature-aged apprentice.
Sign a training contract with your employee
You and your employee will meet with an Australian Apprentice Support Network (AASN) provider to complete the apprenticeship training contract, which is a legal agreement between you and your employee (if you don't know an AASN, call us 1300 579 808 and we can put you in touch with one).
During this step, choose Inscope Training as your Supervising Registered Training Organisation (SRTO).
If you’re looking to switch SRTOs to Inscope, you’ll need to speak with your AASN provider to revise your training contract and choose Inscope Training as your SRTO.
Start training your apprentice
Your apprentice will work onsite with you for on-the-job experience, and we’ll take care of the hands-on training and assessments required to complete their trade qualification.
What does it cost to train an apprentice?
Because an apprentice is your paid employee, you’ll pay them a wage. You can find out more about apprentice wages and entitlements from the Fair Work Ombudsman.
Training Costs
The Queensland and New South Wales state governments, provide a public funding contribution towards the cost of training and assessment services for eligible apprentices. For Queensland funded apprentices, in some cases, you* or your apprentice may still need to pay a small contribution (gap) fee.
Choose your preferred certification to find out more about the funding available and contribution fees (Queensland only) that may need to be paid:

- CPC31320 - Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
*Under some contracts and awards, apprentices may be eligible for their employer to pay or reimburse the contribution fee. Check your apprentice's award or employment contract to find out if they are eligible.
