Certain sites around Australia require asbestos awareness training and your employer (or a potential employer) may need to ensure staff who may encounter asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in their work are appropriately trained to industry standards under SafeWork departments in all States (except the ACT).
Although our Asbestos Awareness course doesn’t give you the licence to remove asbestos, it does give you the industry-standard skills and knowledge to identify potential asbestos in the workplace and remain safe while on the job site.
Asbestos-related resources and information can be found at Asbestos.com and Mesothelioma.net. You can also find a great guide about Pleural mesothelioma (the most common form of cancer caused by asbestos) here.

There are four things to look for to know if your course is accredited:
1. Training providers issue a CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry “Statement of Attainment”. If they issue a “certificate of completion” or a “Statement of Approval” or something else, it is probably NOT the accredited White Card course.
2. The Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) logo is displayed
3. You are issued a state government White Card on successful completion of course CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. (excluding Tasmania)
4. Whether the course is offered by an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO). RTOs are issued with a number when they are accredited, and they generally display this number on their website. Inscope Training’s is RTO 40926
