The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is the current national standard qualification for first aid providers in the workplace. This course is also known as Apply First Aid and Senior First Aid.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Our Provide First Aid course is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and applies to all workers or members of the community who may need to provide CPR in an emergency.

For individuals:

  • Who may need to provide first aid as an emergency first response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings
  • Who want to keep themselves and those around them safe in the workplace

This course may save a life, at home or in any workplace.


For businesses:

  • That need their employees to be first aid-ready
  • That want a simple and easy way to manage staff training through an Employer Account, featuring a personalised company training page, streamlined payments, view staff progress on each course and access to staff certificates

This course is available as a fee-for-service option, with a total cost of $130 (GST free).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Tech and Access
  • Internet access – Some parts of this course are delivered online, so you’ll need a stable connection.
  • A device – A computer, tablet, or smartphone to access course content and complete online tasks.
Identification and Attendance
  • Identification – You’ll need to provide a valid form of ID such as a driver’s licence, passport or 18+ card.
  • A Unique Student Identifier (USI) – If you don’t have one already, you can apply at usi.gov.au
  • Attendance at practical training – You’ll need to attend a practical assessment at our training centre. Use our online booking system to choose a time that suits you, or ask us about workplace delivery for group bookings of five or more.
Skills and Ability Check

To make sure this course is the right fit for you, we will ask you a few quick questions during your enrolment application to confirm:

  • Your physical ability – You’ll need to kneel on the ground and perform continuous CPR on both adult and infant manikins for at least 2 minutes. If you’re unsure about this, please reach out to our team before applying.
  • Your Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills – You’ll need skills at ACSF Level 2 or above. Don’t worry, we’ll ask a few simple questions to check this during your application.

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT:

Your practical assessment is completed face-to-face, and you can easily book a time that works for you using our online booking system. To successfully complete the course and receive your certification, all assessments must be completed and passed.
