Develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to recognise an emergency situation, identify and respond to hazards, and provide an effective first aid response to infants, children and adults. Learn how to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening and promote recovery.
This course has been developed for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting, who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. It is delivered in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

For Individuals:
- Such as educators, care providers and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to be qualified to provide First Aid as an emergency first response including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies .
- Both at work or at home; this course may save a life.
For Businesses:
- That need their people to be First-Aid ready; this is the course for them
- That want a simple and easy way to manage staff courses with a employer account (simple invoicing, access to staff certificates and personalised training page)
Tech and Access
- Internet access – Some parts of this course are delivered online, so you’ll need a stable connection.
- A device – A computer, tablet, or smartphone with microphone and webcam to access course content and complete online tasks.
Identification and Attendance
- Identification – You’ll need to provide a valid form of ID such as a driver’s licence, passport or 18+ card.
- A Unique Student Identifier (USI) – If you don’t have one already, you can apply at usi.gov.au
- Attendance at practical workshop – You’ll need to attend a practical workshop at our training centre. Use our online booking system to choose a time that suits you, or ask us about workplace delivery for group bookings of eight or more.
Skills and Ability Check
To make sure this course is the right fit for you, we will ask you a few quick questions during your enrolment application to confirm:
- Your physical ability – You’ll need to kneel on the ground and perform continuous CPR on both adult and infant manikins for at least 2 minutes. If you’re unsure about this, please reach out to our team before applying.
- Your Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills – We recommend skills at ACSF Level 2 or above. If your results fall below the recommended ACSF, we encourage you to review the support document provided with your LLND results. It outlines internal and external learning support options that may help you build the necessary skills or assist you throughout your training.

Your enrolment won’t be confirmed until you’ve completed all pre-enrolment tasks, we’ve assessed your suitability, and payment has been received.

Booking a group into one of our scheduled classes is simple:
How to Book a Group
Choose your preferred date from the available sessions.
- Click the "Book" button.
- Then select the "Group Booking" option.
- Add participants name and email address.
This allows you to register multiple participants for the same session in one streamlined process.
Enrolment and Payment
- After booking, each participant will receive an email with instructions to complete their individual enrolment.
- By default, each participant will be invoiced separately.
Group Payment Option
If your organisation prefers to pay for all participants:
- Please contact us directly to request a group invoice.
- Once payment is received, we will issue course tokens.
- You can then distribute tokens to participants, who use them to pay for their individual invoice.
Note: Participants are not enrolled into the course until the enrolment tasks are completed and payment for individual invoices have been processed (this includes adding a token to the individuals invoice)

Your online learning modules must be completed prior to participating in the practical workshop.
Your practical workshop is completed face-to-face and combines expert instruction with hands-on experience. The trainer first explains and demonstrates essential techniques like CPR and wound care, then you practice these skills on manikins and other students under supervision.
To successfully complete the course and receive your certification, all online and practical assessments must be completed and passed.
